I have just listed a Pacer on Ebay & thought that some of your members may be interested.
This is possibly the most original Pacer currently available in Australia.
This is a genuine one-owner vehicle, purchased earlier this year from an elderly gentleman who was hoping to restore the car for his grand children one day. This is a Matching Number vehicle with original 245 Hemi engine and "original three-speed on the floor."
The car was placed in storage in 1985 and is perfectly straight and "absolutely" rust free. The original owner advised that they are the original 15000 miles on the clock.
The interior is immaculate. The carpet was the only thing replaced as part of the restoration, and a minor tear was repaired on the drivers seat. Both seats work perfectly.
The paint job was looking tired, so has been freshened up. The boot has remained untouched and is a good indicator of the exceptional condition of ther car.
To ensure reliability, the engine and brakes were totally reconditioned at a cost of $6500 and has only travelled 500 miles since the reconditioning. An electric fuel pump has been added, however a new "original" fuel pump is included. The vehicle is now capable of driving on unleaded petrol.
The vehicle comes with air-conditioning, working heater, and all "electricals" (Tacho, Fuel Gauge, Speedo, Blinkers, Dash & Interior lights etc) work perfectly. The only modification was the installation of a brake booster to improve stopping. Having 4 children I have also sourced a removable "dicky" seat (see photos).
The vehicle comes with NOS mag wheels, but the original Sports Rims and 3 x Orginal Pacer Hubcaps are also included.
